Profile: Hey all! I’m Jay. I’m originally from Singapore, but I’ve been rocking the Canadian weather on and off all my life! As a third-culture kid, I’m always absorbing the interactions, dynamics between people, and the cultures around me.
2012 Goals: We want to help Canada have an amazing year by just serving and helping as many people as possible, whether it’s the students inside our program or the families that we help through the products that they purchase.
Why Southwestern Advantage: I choose Southwestern to fulfill my need for excellence. This program constantly reminds me to keep aiming higher. No matter how many times I beat a personal best, I can always get better!
Biggest Challenge: Priorities! I’ll have to get my priorities in shape and make sure I’m doing what I’m supposed to, when I’m supposed to.
Biggest Benefits: I’d definitely say the biggest benefit is the ability to develop not only myself as a leader, but the others around me. Being able to watch people grow and be a part of that is hugely rewarding.
Interesting Fact: I jumped out of a plane this past April to cross another item off my bucket list! It was tres sketch.
