Profile: I grew up in the “Big City” of Albuquerque, New Mexico and will be graduating with a degree in Business Marketing and a minor in Biblical Studies from Biola University located in Southern CA in May 2012. I’ve been building my business with Southwestern Advantage for the last 2 years now and I’m so excited to continue into my 3rd.
I’m a fitness enthusiast and love doing basically anything that involves competition (almost too much…). Give me a challenge and I’ll most likely take you up on it!
2012 Goals: My goal for this next year is to build a top team from Biola University and to hit at least the growth award (a $5,500 raise from last year). I want to continue to grow as a professional in my job and impact the students I work with!
Why Southwestern Advantage: When I applied for the Southwestern Advantage program my first summer it was to make some good money and gain a experience to build my resume. Little did I know that I was going to get so much more out of the internship. Southwestern changed the trajectory of my life and has pushed me to grow in so many areas. It has completely set me apart from my peers mentally, emotionally, and professionally. I know I’m not done growing yet and that’s why I keep stickin’ around!
Biggest Challenge: My biggest challenge that I know I’m going to work on this next summer is slowing down and learning to enjoy the present moment that is in front of me. So often in life, especially in times of challenge, we forget to enjoy the little joys that God has placed in front of us. My goal is to soak up every single moment and genuinely enjoy all the people I will meet this next year through interviewing students and this next summer hanging out with families.

Biggest Benefits: The biggest benefit that Southwestern Advantage has blessed me with is the opportunity to continually meet the COOLEST people! I am constantly learning from the families I meet in the summers and gaining lifelong friends from the students I work side by side with. I have met some of my best friends in the whole world through this internship!
Interesting Fact: I have freckles in the irises of my eyes.
