Profile: Profile description I am majoring in American Studies with a concentration in Business Law and Foreign Relations and doubling in Legal Studies at Cal. Currently I am studying abroad for the school year in 2 different continents. For the fall I am at the UC Center of Paris and for spring I will be at the University of Hong Kong. I heard about Southwestern my Freshman year and will be going onto my third summer in May 2012. The future is unpredictable but my plan is to attend law school and work for the UN or practice international corporate law. I enjoy reading, yoga, eating, and socializing.
2012 Goals: I believe that life is about creating yourself not finding yourself. This year I plan to travel a ton and learn as much as I can about the world around me. Professionally, I plan to hit growth and receive a $5,500 raise from last year.
Why Southwestern: Freshman year: I found the limitless possibilities of managing my own business compelling and seized the opportunity. I wanted to build my resume and challenge myself.
Now 2 years later it’s quite simple: the people I interact with inspire me to be a better person. I never feel complacent because the leaders in this company challenge me to do my best and aim higher.
Biggest Challenge: The biggest challenge for me is not compromising with myself. Often times doubt and fear of failure make me want to compromise my goals. However, I have learned through SW to actively not compromise what I want now, for what I want in the future.
Biggest Benefits: One of the biggest benefits from this program is the diverse array of successful people I continuously encounter from clients, colleagues, and alumni.
Interesting Fact: I traveled to a third world country in Africa by myself for a week.
